Terms of Service

Subpix lets you generate and translate subtitles from video/audio URLs or files you upload, using automated speech-to-text and machine translation. Outputs are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing them before use.

You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

You retain ownership of the content you submit and the subtitle files we generate for you. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• you own the content or have all rights, licences, and permissions necessary to upload it and to create subtitles and translations from it;
• your use of the Service does not infringe any third party’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights, and does not violate the terms of service of any platform the content originates from;
• the content is not unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise prohibited.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for how you use the generated subtitles. Subpix does not review content and is not responsible for it. We may suspend or remove content and accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms or applicable law.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for content you do not have the right to process;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or circumvent limits of the Service;
• resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
• use the Service to create unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.

• The Service is pay-per-use: 1 credit = 1 minute of audio per output language.
• Credits are charged only when a job completes successfully. Failed jobs are not charged.
• New accounts receive a number of free credits; purchased credits do not expire.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases.

Credits are digital content supplied immediately. When you purchase credits and start using them, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose any statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for credits that have been consumed. Unused credits may be refundable at our discretion or where required by applicable consumer law. For any refund request, contact support@subpix.app.

The subtitle files generated for you are yours to use. The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — belongs to Subpix and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or software beyond using the Service.

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that outputs will be accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Subpix shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. content responsibility, IP, liability) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
